What is Wishlist Configuration?

The Wishlist Configuration setting controls who can save items to a Wishlist on your store:

  • Restrict access to logged-in customers only

  • Allow access to all visitors, including guests

You’ll find this setting in Notify Me! > Wishlist > Settings, under the Wishlist Configuration section.

Configuration Options

1. Logged-in Customers Only

  • Access: Only customers who are signed in can save items.

  • Guest Experience: Guests will see a prompt to log in or create an account before using the Wishlist.

  • Best for:

    • Building a customer database

    • Tracking Wishlist activity to user accounts

2. All Customers (Including Guests)

  • Access: Anyone can create a Wishlist—no account needed.

  • Guest Experience:

    • Wishlist is saved locally in the browser.

    • If a guest later logs in, their Wishlist automatically merges with their account.

  • Best for:

    • Reducing friction for first-time visitors

    • Increasing engagement across more users
