What is the Low Stock Inventory Report?
The Low Stock Inventory Report in the Notify Me app alerts you when a product or variant drops below a stock threshold you’ve set. This helps prevent stockouts, gives visibility into low inventory, and supports smarter restocking decisions.
Key Features
You can customize:
Notification type: immediate alerts or scheduled summaries
Stock threshold: e.g., get notified when stock is 5 or fewer
Schedule settings: frequency, time of day, and time zone
Report format: product details shown directly in email or linked as a downloadable CSV
📧 All reports are delivered by email to the merchant.
How to Configure Reports
Go to Notify Me > Low Stock in your Shopify admin.
Under Low-stock notifications, enable the Low Stock Inventory Report feature.
Choose Notification Type
Immediate notifications
Sends an alert email as soon as inventory drops below your threshold.
Scheduled notifications
Sends a summary report at a set frequency:
Set Your Inventory Threshold
Enter the stock quantity that should trigger alerts.
Example: if set to 3, any item with 3 or fewer units will be included in reports.
Minimum allowed value for threshold is 1.
What You'll See in Reports
Immediate Notification (1 Product)
Triggered when a single product goes below threshold
Subject line: “{Product Name} has low inventory | Notify Me!”
Includes:
Direct link to product
Link to update your alert settings
Scheduled Report (Up to 10 Products)
Lists low-stock products with:
Images
Variants
Stock level
Includes a link to download full CSV report with:
Product title
Variant title
Quantity
Admin URL
Scheduled Report (Over 10 Products)
Email displays total number of affected products
Individual listings up to 10 products (for readability)
You must download the full CSV to view all items
Not receiving your report?
✅ Make sure Low Stock Reports are turned ON
✅ Double-check your threshold (must be at least 1)
✅ If using scheduled reports, confirm:
Your time zone is correct
You’ve set a delivery time
✅ Look in your spam folder for emails from "Notify Me!"
✅ If CSV won’t open, check you're logged into the correct Shopify account
