With Notify Me!, shoppers can share their wishlist with friends through a private link or the social channels you choose. Every share sends a new visitor back to your store. Sharing is off by default — this guide shows you how to turn it on, choose which channels shoppers see, rename the share button, and what the experience looks like on your storefront.
Before you start
- Share with friends is available on the Rocket and Plus plans. On lower plans the card shows an Upgrade option instead of the settings.
- Wishlist must be active on your store.
Where to find the setting
1. Open your Notify Me! dashboard.
2. Go to Wishlist › Settings.
3. Locate the Share with friends card.
By default the card shows Off — sharing is not active until you turn it on. Click Edit to configure it.
Turn on sharing and choose channels
Clicking Edit opens the sharing settings:
- Enable wishlist sharing — turn this on to show the "Share with friends" option on your storefront wishlist.
- Share menu channels — choose which channels shoppers can share to: X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Pinterest, Telegram, and Email.
A copy link option is always available to shoppers, even if you leave every social channel turned off. The channels are optional — enable as few or as many as you like.
When you're done, click Save.
Rename the share button (optional)
The button shoppers tap to open the share menu reads Share with friends by default. To change the wording:
1. On the Wishlist page, click Customization to open the appearance editor.
2. Select My Wishlist, then open the Non-empty state section.
3. Edit the Share button label field.
Click Save to apply the change to your storefront.
What your shoppers see
Once sharing is on, a Share with friends button appears on the shopper's wishlist.
Selecting it opens the share menu. The first time, the shopper taps Generate shareable link to create a private link for their wishlist. After that, they can:
- Copy link — copy the wishlist link to share anywhere.
- Share on social — post the link to the channels you enabled.
- General access — the link is set to *Anyone with the link*, and shoppers can switch their wishlist back to private at any time.
Tips
- Sharing is off until you enable it, so shoppers won't see a share button until you turn it on.
- Copy link is always available — a shopper can copy their wishlist link even when no social channels are enabled.
- Turning off Enable wishlist sharing hides the share button on your storefront but keeps your channel and label choices for next time.
- Changes appear on your storefront within a few minutes.
Troubleshooting
- The Share with friends card shows an Upgrade button — sharing is available on the Rocket and Plus plans. Upgrade from the Plans page to enable it.
- Shoppers can't see the share button — open Edit on the Share with friends card and confirm Enable wishlist sharing is on (it's off by default).
