With Notify Me!, signed-in shoppers can keep several named wishlists, such as "Birthday ideas" or "Home office", instead of one list. Saving still takes one tap. This guide shows you how to turn named wishlists on, what your shoppers see, and where to edit the texts.
Before you start
Wishlist must be active on your store.
Named wishlists are available on selected plans. On other plans the setting shows a lock; click it to see which plan includes it.
Named wishlists are for signed-in shoppers. Guests keep one wishlist, as today.
If your store installed Notify Me! before named wishlists were released, the setting starts off. New installs start with it on.
Turn on named wishlists
Open your Notify Me! dashboard.
Go to Wishlist › Settings.
Tick Named wishlists.
Click Save.
While the setting is off, every shopper sees one wishlist, as before. If you turn it off later, shoppers see all their saved products together in one list, and their lists come back when you turn it on again.
What your shoppers see
Saving a product
Every shopper starts with one list, My list. The first tap on Add to wishlist saves the product there. When the saved message is turned on, it shows Saved to My list with Change to pick other lists.
Once a shopper has more than one list, tapping Add to wishlist opens Save to list. They tick the lists the product belongs in, or tap New list to create one with the product in it.
In the wishlist drawer
The list name at the top opens a dropdown of the shopper's lists, with the number of products in each, and New list at the bottom.
The ⋯ button next to it has Rename list and Delete list for the open list (My list can only be renamed). When Share with friends is on, the link icon shares only the open list.
On a separate wishlist page
When your wishlist shows as a separate page, the shopper's lists appear under Your lists (on the left on larger screens), with New list below them. The open list has Rename list, Delete list (not for My list) and, when Share with friends is on, Share this list.
The My Wishlist page in customer accounts shows every saved product from all lists together. Removing a product there removes it from every list.
Edit the texts shoppers see
On the Wishlist page, click Customize appearance.
Select My Wishlist, then open Named lists.
Edit any field. Click a field to see where it shows in the preview, such as the ⋯ menu for Rename list action label.
Click Save.
The other named-list texts are here too:
Empty state has Empty named list message, shown when a list has no products.
Saved to wishlist message has Saved to list message and Saved message change label.
Your lists title and Share this list label show only when My Wishlist type is Separate page.
Every text, including List limit message, can be translated in Settings › Language: click Edit text next to a language, then Wishlist › Widget display.
These fields appear only while Named wishlists is on.
Tips
A shopper can have up to 20 lists, including My list.
List names can be up to 50 characters, and each shopper's list names must be different (capital letters don't count, so "Gifts" and "gifts" clash).
A product can sit in several lists. The wishlist count shows it once.
Each product a shopper saves to a list counts as one wishlist action, so saving the same product to a second list counts again. Creating an empty list doesn't count.
Removing a product in the drawer or on the page removes it from the open list only.
Deleting a list asks the shopper first and cannot be undone. Products also saved in other lists stay there. My list cannot be deleted.
Troubleshooting
Shoppers see only one list — check that Named wishlists is ticked in Wishlist › Settings, that your plan includes it, and that the shopper is signed in. Guests always have one list.
The setting is greyed out with a lock — your plan doesn't include named wishlists. Upgrade from the Plans page to use it.
A named-list text is missing in Customization — the fields show only while Named wishlists is on, and the page-only texts only for a separate wishlist page.
