Where to Find the Customization Section
To begin customizing the Low Stock Alert widget on your product pages:
Open the Notify Me! app in your Shopify admin.
Navigate to the Low Stock section from the sidebar.
Click on Customize appearance.
Customizing the Low Stock Alert
Once you are on the customization page, you will have several options to adjust the look and behavior of the Low Stock Alert widget:
Widget Activation:
Ensure the widget is turned ON by toggling the Widget on Product Pages switch.
Alert Description:
In the Alert Description field, you can customize the message that appears to customers. You can use the dynamic field
{{remaining_quantity}}to automatically display the number of items left in stock. For example, the default message could be:
"Only {{remaining_quantity}} items left in stock!"Customize the text to match your brand’s tone and style. You could add urgency with phrases like “Hurry! {{remaining_quantity}} left!” or keep it simple with “Limited stock remaining.”
Show Icon:
Enable or disable the icon next to the alert. Icons can enhance the visibility of the message and make it more attention-grabbing for customers.
Style Customization:
Click on Style to customize the appearance of the widget. This allows you to change key design elements to better match your store’s branding:
Text Color: Choose the color for the alert text. You can change this to any color that fits your theme.
Icon Color: Set the color for the alert icon to match or contrast with the text.
Manual CSS Code: For advanced customization, you can add custom CSS to further tweak the widget’s look. This is useful for adding unique styles like animations, margins, or custom fonts.
Previewing the Changes
As you make adjustments, you’ll see a Live Preview on the customization panel. This allows you to instantly see how the Low Stock Alert will appear on your product pages, ensuring the design meets your expectations before saving any changes.
Advanced Customizations
For merchants who need more in-depth customization, the Request Advanced Customizations option allows you to contact the Notify Me! support team for help. You can request additional modifications like:
