When you're ready to stop offering pre-orders and begin fulfilling regular orders, follow these steps to update your products:
Understand Pre-Order Button Conditions:
The pre-order button appears only when:The product has 0 or negative inventory.
The "Continue selling when out of stock" option is enabled.
The "Track quantity" option is enabled.
Steps to Disable Pre-Order Button:
Go to Products in your Shopify admin.
Select the product you want to update.
For each variant:
Update the inventory quantity to a number greater than 0.
OrUncheck the "Continue selling when out of stock" option.
Fulfilling Existing Pre-Orders:
Ensure your stock accurately reflects the inventory needed to fulfill pre-orders.
Fulfill the orders as usual once the inventory is updated.
Automatic Button Update:
After updating the inventory and disabling the pre-order settings, the product button will switch from "PreOrder" to "Add to Cart" automatically.
This process ensures that your product is ready for regular sales and shipping.
