What is B2B Pre-order and how does it work ?
B2B (Business-to-Business) refers to transactions between businesses, such as wholesalers selling to retailers. In Shopify, B2B customers typically have access to exclusive catalogs, payment terms, and order workflows that differ from D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) buyers.
For B2B companies, it's possible to purchase out-of-stock products if they are included in allocated catalogs where the “Continue Selling” option is enabled in your Shopify settings. These orders follow your company’s defined payment terms, and transaction fees are applied based on your current Shopify plan.
Note:
The pre-order billing setting in the Notify Me app currently does not apply to B2B customers.
It is only supported for D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) customers at this time.
