Introduction to the “Multi‑Offer Pre‑Order” System

Introduction to the “Multi‑Offer Pre‑Order” System

Updated over 2 weeks ago

1. Overview

This article explains the new Multi‑Offer Pre‑Order system—fully replacing the previous single selling‑plan approach. It introduces how shops can now create and manage multiple Offers, each with its own settings and product scope.

2. Why the Change?

• Formerly, each shop could configure only one selling‑plan applied to all sold‑out products with "continue selling" enabled.
• Under the new structure, a store can configure multiple Offers (selling‑plans), each with custom settings and targeted product inclusion—allowing enhanced flexibility and segmentation.

3. Key Concepts & Terminology

Term

Definition

Offer

A selling plan tied to selected products. Each Offer holds independent rules—name, billing, discount, and more.

Default Offer

Upon activation, a store receives a default Offer applied to all eligible out‑of‑stock products.

Include for…

Instead of “Exclude” rules, new Offers use “Include for”, specifying precisely which products the Offer applies to.

Offer Status

Each Offer can be Active, Inactive, or Action Required (e.g. when service rules are not met on products).

Customize Appearance

Visual settings (buttons, widgets) that apply across all Offers—not individually per Offer.

Pre‑Order Logic

Settings like billing policy, discount policy, delivery fulfillment trigger, and inventory reserve options, now configured per Offer.

4. How It Works

a) Activating Pre‑Order & Default Offer

  • When a store installs the app and enables Pre‑Order, a Default Offer is created automatically.

  • includes all out-of-stock products with “Continue selling when out-of-stock” enabled.

  • The Default Offer is active by default, and status and details are visible in the Offers table.

b) Creating a New Offer

  1. Go to the Home page → Offers table → Create Offer.

  2. Name the Offer (must be unique—no duplicates).

  3. Select products using Include for… (click on Edit button) to specify target products.

  4. Configure per-Offer settings: billing policy, discount, delivery fulfillment, etc.

  5. Save → Offer becomes Active, and its logic applies to selected products (pre-orders now appear).

c) Managing Offers

  • Use the Offers table on Home to view status and details of each Offer.

  • Each Offer row includes Edit, Deactivate, and Delete actions.

  • Confirmation is required before Deactivate or Delete. Deleting or deactivating an Offer removes the pre-order button from its products.

d) Bulk Actions & Search

  • Multiple Offers can be selected for batch Deactivation or Deletion via bulk actions.

  • Offers can be searched by Product ID, Variant ID, or Offer Name—helpful for stores with many Offers and products.

e) Settings & Customization

  • Customize Appearance settings (buttons, notification visuals) apply globally to all Offers.

  • Service-wide Settings (notifications, B2B settings, exclusions by catalog/location) are now accessed via the Settings section.

f) Reports

  • In the Orders Report, each pre-order now displays the Offer Name it was created under—providing clarity on which Offer led to the sale.
