Reposition the pre-order Offer Selector card with the Preorder Offer Selector block

Updated today

Add the Preorder Offer Selector block to your theme editor to place the pre-order payment card anywhere on your product page — not just above the pre-order button. This article explains what the block does, how to add it, and how it interacts with existing placement settings.

Before you start

  • You have the Notify Me! Pre-order module active on your store.

  • The Selling plan selector is turned on in the Notify Me! admin. If it's off, the card won't render anywhere — including inside the block. See Show buyers the pre-order payment option with the selling plan selector to turn it on.

  • You have permission to edit your store's theme in the Shopify admin.

What the block does

By default, the selling plan selector card appears directly above the pre-order button. That placement works for most stores, but if you want the card somewhere else — above the price, below the title, next to a trust badge — you need a way to move it.

The Preorder Offer Selector block is a Shopify theme app extension block. When you add it to your product template, the card renders inside the block wherever you placed it instead of in its default location.

ℹ️ Note: The block only affects the selling plan selector card. The pre-order button itself is unaffected — it keeps rendering in exactly the same place it did before, regardless of whether you add the block or not.

Add the block to your theme

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online StoreThemes.

  2. On the theme you want to edit, click Edit theme.

  3. In the template dropdown at the top, select ProductsDefault product.

  4. Find the product section where you want the card to appear and click Add block.

  5. Under Apps, select Preorder Offer Selector.

  6. Drag the block to the position you want within the product section.

  7. Click Save.

The card now renders inside the block on eligible pre-order product pages.

⚠️ Important: If you've previously asked support to position the selector in a specific place using custom CSS, adding the block will take over that placement. To go back to the CSS-based position, remove the block from the theme editor and click Save.

This priority only applies to the selling plan selector card. The pre-order button's placement is not affected by the block at all.
