How to Enable Pre-Order Buttons on Home and Collection Pages

Allow customers to pre-order out-of-stock products directly from your Home or Collection (catalog) pages.

Requirements Before You Begin

  • Your theme must already include an “Add to Cart” button on the Home and Collection pages.

  • Our app modifies this button to enable pre-orders — it does not create a new button.

How to Activate Pre-Order Buttons

  1. Open the Preorder section in the app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click Edit in the Visibility status section.

  4. Enable the Collection and Home page option.

  5. (Optional) Click Customize appearance to update the widget’s look — ensure it clearly shows the item is available for pre-order (Read this article).

  6. Save your changes before exiting.

  7. Verify that the "NM-preorder" tag is correctly applied to items added from collection or home pages by checking the cart entries.

    • Cause: Missing the correct HTML wrapper in the customized theme.

    • Solution: Add the appropriate HTML wrapper to allow the widget to function or seek developer assistance.

  • Problem: Buttons missing from collection or home pages.

    • Cause: Preorder buttons not enabled on these pages.

    • Solution: Activate the preorder button options for all relevant pages in the settings.
