Add pre-order to your home page's Featured product

Let shoppers pre-order your home page's Featured product when it's eligible (Rocket+).

Most themes spotlight one product in a Featured product section on the home page. With Notify Me!, you can let shoppers pre-order that product right there — without leaving the homepage — and the pre-order button is styled exactly like the one on your product pages. You turn it on with a single checkbox.

Before you begin

  • You're on the Rocket plan or higher (the home-page pre-order surfaces are Rocket+).

  • The PreOrder Home page widget is turned On. The featured pre-order button only appears while the Home page widget is active.

  • Your theme has a Featured product section on its home page. Notify Me! finds that section automatically — you don't add a block or edit your theme.

Turn on Featured product

In the Notify Me! app, open PreOrder.

  1. Click Customize appearance, then open the Home page tab (under Widget).

  2. With Home page set to On, tick the Featured product checkbox: "Show the pre-order button on your featured product. Its customization is the same as the product page."

  3. Click Save.

There's nothing to set up in your theme. The button, badge, description, and payment options you've configured on Product pages carry over automatically, so your featured product is presented just like its product page.

How it looks on your storefront

When your theme's featured product is eligible for pre-order and has an active offer, shoppers see the pre-order button and its availability message right in the Featured product section, and can pre-order in place. See When and where the pre-order button appears for what makes a product eligible.

If the featured product isn't eligible (for example, it's in stock), nothing changes — your theme's normal Add to cart button stays exactly as it is.

Good to know

  • No separate styling. The featured pre-order button uses your Product pages pre-order settings — button label, badge, description, and payment options. Configure pre-order once and it applies here too.

  • Only eligible products show it. The button appears only when the featured product is eligible for pre-order and has an active offer. Other products keep the theme's normal button.

  • It follows your theme. Whatever product your theme features on the home page is the one that becomes pre-orderable — you don't pick a product in Notify Me!.

Troubleshooting

  • The button isn't showing on my featured product. Check that you're on Rocket or higher, the Home page widget is On, and the Featured product checkbox is ticked and saved. The featured product must also be eligible for pre-order with an active offer.

  • My theme's Featured product section still shows the normal button. The product likely isn't eligible for pre-order right now, so Notify Me! intentionally leaves your theme's button untouched.

  • Still not appearing? Some custom or page-builder themes structure the featured section differently. Reach out to our support team and we'll help get it detected.
