Importing Customers from Shopify Segments into Notify Me

With Notify Me, you can easily import customer segments directly from Shopify and send targeted notifications (email or SMS). Here's how you can do it:

Steps to Import from Shopify Segments:

  1. Select Your Shopify Segment:

    • In Shopify, you can either choose an existing customer segment or create a new one based on customer tags, recent order activity, or other criteria.

  2. Choose the Import Action:

    • After selecting or creating your segment in Shopify, choose the import action. This will bring those specific customers into Notify Me.


  3. Add the Product Variant URL:

    • You’ll be asked to input the product variant URL from your Shopify store. This helps connect the imported customers to the specific product they are interested in.

  4. Complete the Import:

    • Once you've imported your customers into Notify Me, notifications will be sent based on product availability and the customer’s preferences.

Important Information:

  • GDPR Compliance: Since the customers in Shopify segments are already vetted, they bypass the usual support verification process and move directly to the GDPR flow for compliance.

  • Limitations for Lite Plan Users: If you're on Shopify’s Lite Plan, you won't have the permissions needed to perform the import action. You’ll see an error message prompting you to upgrade to a paid plan.

  • Product Variant Handling: If the product variant you selected is out of stock, our system will automatically choose the next available variant, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
