Introduction

This article will guide you on how to configure the shipment date based on the "Delivery Fulfillment Trigger" setting in the Pre-Order settings of our app.

Understanding the Shipment Date Variable

The shipment date in the pre-order confirmation email is a dynamic variable that changes according to your "Delivery Fulfillment Trigger" settings. This ensures that your customers are informed about when they can expect their pre-ordered products to be shipped.

Delivery Fulfillment Trigger Options

There are three options available for the Delivery Fulfillment Trigger setting:

Fulfillment Immediately:

With this setting, orders are marked as "Unfulfilled" immediately, similar to common orders.

The shipment date variable in the email will state "As soon as possible," indicating that the order will be processed without delay.

Fulfillment Date up to You:

Orders are marked with an "On-hold" status, which can later be changed to "Unfulfilled" when you're ready.

The shipment date variable will also read "As soon as possible," as it indicates the order will be shipped as soon as you release it from the hold status.

Fulfillment on an Exact Time:

Orders are marked as "Scheduled" and will automatically change to "Unfulfilled" on the scheduled date.

If this option is selected and a specific date is set, the shipment date variable in the email will reflect that specific date.

How to Configure Your Settings

To configure your pre-order shipment date settings, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Preorder> settings within our app.

  2. Under the Preorder logics you'll find the section labeled "Delivery Fulfillment Trigger".

  3. Select the option that best fits your shipment process:

  • If you want to process the order immediately, choose "Fulfillment Immediately.

  • If you prefer to hold the orders and decide on the fulfillment time later, select "Fulfillment Date up to You."

  • For scheduling the fulfillment on a specific date, pick "Fulfillment on an Exact Time" and set the desired date.
