Introduction

Adding a pre-order button to your collection pages (catalog) and home page is a great strategy to boost sales for products that are not currently in stock. Our app makes this process simple and seamless. This guide will explain how to activate pre-order buttons on these pages.

Prerequisites for Adding Pre-Order Buttons

To ensure a smooth integration of the pre-order button, your store must already have an 'Add to Cart' button on the collection or home page. Our app does not create a new button but rather repurposes the existing 'Add to Cart' button for pre-orders.

Activating Pre-Order on Collection Pages

Follow these steps to activate the pre-order functionality on your collection pages:

  1. Navigate to the 'Widgets' section of our app.

  2. Switch to the 'Pre-order' tab.

  3. Select 'Collection Page' from the dropdown menu.

  4. Ensure that the toggle next to 'Collection Page' is turned on (indicated by green color).

  5. Customize the 'Widget title' if necessary, to clearly indicate the pre-order status to your customers.

  6. Ensure that you save your changes before exiting.

By activating this feature, the 'Add to Cart' button on your collection pages will now function as a pre-order button for out-of-stock items.

Activating Pre-Order on the Home Page

To activate the pre-order button on your home page:

  1. In the same 'Widgets' section of the app, select 'Home Page' from the dropdown menu.

  2. Confirm that the toggle next to 'Home Page' is active.

  3. You can customize the button style and content to match your home page design and branding.

  4. Don't forget to save your changes.

With these settings, visitors to your home page will see the option to pre-order items directly, even if they are currently sold out.

Important Notes

  • The pre-order button will only appear for items that are eligible for preordering and have the preorder conditions. read more in this article.

  • Our app does not add a new button; it modifies the existing 'Add to Cart' button functionality to allow for pre-orders. This means that your theme must already include an 'Add to Cart' button on these pages for the pre-order functionality to work.

Conclusion

Activating pre-order buttons on your collection pages and home page can lead to increased sales and improved customer satisfaction by allowing them to purchase products before they are back in stock. Just make sure your existing 'Add to Cart' buttons are in place, and our app will handle the rest.

If you encounter any issues and you are not seeing the button or have any questions, our support team is here to assist you.
