The Low Stock Logic settings in Notify Me! allow you to control when and how the Low Stock widget is displayed based on your product inventory. This feature gives you the flexibility to either showcase scarcity for all products or limit it to items that are truly running low on stock.

Inventory-Based Display Options

There are two main options for displaying the Low Stock widget on your store’s product pages:

  1. Display the Low-Stock Widget for All Products, Regardless of Their Inventory Level

    • When this option is selected, the Low Stock widget will be shown for all in-stock products in your store.

    • This option is useful if you want to consistently display stock information or create a sense of urgency across your entire store, regardless of actual inventory levels.

    • Example Use Case: Stores that want to maintain a constant sense of urgency for customers, even when stock is plentiful.

  2. Display the Stock Counter According to Each Product’s Actual Inventory Level

    • This option displays the Low Stock widget only for products whose inventory falls below a set threshold.

    • It’s perfect for stores that want to emphasize scarcity only when stock levels are genuinely low, offering a more realistic sense of urgency.

    • Example Use Case: If you set the threshold to 10, the Low Stock widget will only appear for products with 10 or fewer items remaining in stock, making the alert more meaningful and credible for customers.

How to Choose the Right Low Stock Logic

The right setting depends on your store’s strategy and how you want to handle inventory visibility:

  • Create Consistent Urgency Across All Products: Choose the first option to display the Low Stock widget for all products, regardless of their inventory levels. This ensures that the widget is always visible, helping to drive sales through continuous urgency.

  • Highlight Actual Low Stock Levels: If you prefer a more data-driven approach, choose the second option. This will only trigger the Low Stock widget when products are genuinely close to selling out, making the urgency feel more authentic and motivating customers to act fast.

Where to Access This Setting

  1. Open the Notify Me! app in your Shopify admin.

  2. Go to the Low Stock section from the sidebar.

  3. Click on Settings in the Low stock page.

  4. Under Low Stock Logic, select one of the two display options based on your preference.

  5. If you selected the threshold-based option, enter the desired stock threshold for when the Low Stock widget should appear.

  6. Save your changes, and the logic will be applied to the Low Stock widget on your product pages.
