Notify Me Button Not Showing on Sold-Out Products – Troubleshooting Guide.

If the Notify Me button isn't appearing on your sold-out products, follow this guide to ensure everything is correctly configured. The Back in Stock feature allows customers to subscribe for restock alerts, but several conditions must be met for the button to display.

Product Pages

1. Enable the Back-in-Stock Feature

  • Go to your Shopify admin and open the Notify Me! app.

  • Navigate to the Back in Stock tab.

  • Confirm that the feature is enabled for product pages.

2. Check the App Embed

  • Go to Shopify admin > Online Store > Themes > Customize.

  • In the theme editor, ensure the Notify Me app embed is turned on.

3. Confirm Inventory is Zero

  • Verify that the product (and all its variants) is sold out.

  • The Notify Me button only appears if inventory is 0 or less.

4. Disable “Continue Selling When Out of Stock”

  • In Shopify, locate the product settings.

  • Make sure the "Continue selling when out of stock" option is turned off.

  • If this is enabled, the product remains purchasable, and the button won’t display.

Collection Pages

1. Enable Back-in-Stock for Collection Pages

  • Go to the Notify Me! app in your Shopify admin.

  • Open Back in Stock > Settings and click Edit under Visibility Status.

  • Confirm that collection page visibility is enabled.

2. Check the App Embed

  • Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

  • Ensure the Notify Me app embed is turned on in your theme settings.

3. Confirm All Items Are Sold Out

  • For the button to display on a collection page, all variants of each product must be out of stock.

  • If any variant is available, the button will not appear.

Home Page

1. Enable Back-in-Stock for Home Page Products

  • Go to the Notify Me! app > Back in Stock > Settings.

  • Click Edit under Visibility Status and enable the feature for home page content.

2. Check the App Embed

  • Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

  • Ensure the app embed is enabled.

3. Confirm All Home Page Products Are Sold Out

  • Make sure every product and variant shown on the home page has zero inventory.
