How SMS usage is billed in Notify Me

Understand how SMS charges are calculated and added to your monthly Shopify invoice.

How SMS Pricing Works

Notify Me offers SMS as an optional paid feature. You are only charged for SMS messages that are actually sent to your customers. Charges are based on:

  • The destination country of the customer

  • The number of SMS messages sent

Each message has a cost that varies by country.

Where You See Your Charges

Your SMS charges are included in two places:

  • In the Add-on Charges section of your Notify Me dashboard, for visibility and tracking

  • In your Shopify invoice, grouped under Transaction fees, along with other usage-based charges

These charges are calculated in real time but are only billed on your next Shopify billing cycle.


What Affects Your SMS Bill

You are charged based on:

  • The number of SMS messages sent

  • The country-specific rate for each message

  • The Shopify billing period (for example, June 8 to July 7)

There are no fixed bundles or minimums. You are only billed for what you use.
