Our Pre-Order scheduling feature allows you to set a precise start and end time for your pre-order campaigns. This powerful tool helps you automate your product launches, align them perfectly with your marketing efforts, and create a seamless experience for your customers without needing to manually activate and deactivate offers.
Why Use Pre-Order Scheduling?
Build Anticipation: Schedule a pre-order to go live at the same time you announce a new product on social media or in a newsletter.
Automate Your Sales: Set an offer to start on Black Friday and end automatically after Cyber Monday. No need to wake up early or stay up late.
Run Limited-Time Campaigns: Create a sense of urgency by setting a specific window for your pre-order, after which the offer will automatically expire.
Plan Ahead: Set up all your upcoming pre-order campaigns in advance and let the app handle the activation and deactivation for you.
Step-by-Step Guide to Scheduling an Offer
Follow these steps to set a start and/or end date for your pre-order campaign.
1. Navigate to Pre-Order Offers
From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Notify Me! and click on PreOrder in the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Create or Edit an Offer
To create a new scheduled offer, click the Add offer button.
To schedule an existing offer, click on the offer name from the list to open its settings.
3. Locate the "Active dates" Section
Inside the offer settings page, find the Active dates section. This is where you will set the schedule.
4. Set a Start Date and Time
By default, the Start date and Start time are set to the moment you create the offer. To schedule it for the future:
Click on the date field to open a calendar and select your desired start date.
Click on the time field to set the exact hour and minute you want the pre-order to become active.
Note: The time is based on the time zone of the device you are currently using.
Once you set a future time and save, the offer's status will change to Scheduled. The app will automatically make the offer Active at the time you have set.
5. Set an End Date and Time (Optional)
If you want the pre-order offer to end automatically, you can set an expiration date.
When the end time is reached, the offer's status will automatically change to Expired, and the pre-order button will be removed from the product page.
6. Choose the Product's Behavior After Expiration
When an offer expires, you can decide what happens to the product's purchase options.
Don't change "Continue selling when out of stock" settings: We will not change your product settings. If you have "Continue selling" enabled for the product in Shopify, the button will simply change from "Pre-order" to "Add to Cart."
Automatically disable "Continue selling when out of stock" when the offer expires: This is the recommended option for limited-time pre-orders. When the offer expires, we will disable the "Continue selling" setting for the product, and it will appear as Sold Out on your store.
Managing Your Scheduled Offers
You can easily track the status of your offers on the main PreOrder page.
Scheduled: The offer is set to go live at a future time.
Active: The offer is currently live on your store.
Expired: The offer was active but has passed its scheduled end date.
Inactive: The offer has been manually deactivated.
You can click on any offer, regardless of its status, to edit its schedule, products, or other settings.
