How pre-order usage is billed in Notify Me

Learn how transaction-based fees for PreOrders are calculated and added to your Shopify invoice.

How PreOrder Billing Works

When you use Notify Me’s PreOrder feature, a percentage-based fee is applied to every order that is placed through a PreOrder flow.

The fee you pay depends on the plan you’re on. Each plan includes a different PreOrder transaction rate. For example, if a customer places a $100 PreOrder and your plan’s fee is 1%, you’ll be charged $1.00 for that order

Where You See Your Charges

Your PreOrder transaction fees are included in two places:

  • In the Add-on Charges section of your Notify Me dashboard, alongside other usage-based charges

  • In your Shopify invoice, grouped under Transaction fees

These charges accumulate as orders are placed and are billed as part of your next Shopify billing cycle.

What You’re Charged For

You are only charged for:

  • PreOrders placed by customers

  • The total value of the order

  • The percentage fee assigned to your current Notify Me plan

No fees are applied to standard (non-PreOrder) orders.
